About

We are Passionate About Our Work

We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality

Habesha Stooping Club is a grassroots initiative rooted in love, culture, and mutual care. We gather used clothes, school supplies, books, furniture, and more from generous community members—and we give them back to students in our community, no strings attached.

We believe that no student should struggle because of a lack of basic resources. Our mission is to create a circular system of generosity—where nothing goes to waste, and everything flows back into the hands that need it.

Inspired by the NYC “stooping” culture, where people leave items on the street for others to take freely, we reimagine it through a Habesha lens: purposeful, dignified giving that strengthens community bonds and empowers the next generation.

Generousity

We cultivate a spirit of giving where people share what they have, knowing it can make a meaningful difference in someone else’s life.

Empowerment

Helping students gain the confidence and resources they need to succeed.

Care

We are building a cycle of giving within the Habesha community—where goods, kindness, and opportunity flow continuously.

Access

Ensuring everyone, especially students, can receive support freely and without barriers.

Community

Building a strong, interconnected Habesha network through collective care

Solidarity

Standing together to support one another, especially in times of need.

Our Mission

The Habesha Stooping Club exists to collect gently used items from our community—clothes, school supplies, books, and more—and redistribute them for free to underserved Habesha students. Our goal is to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and create a culture of shared care, where generosity and dignity go hand in hand. We believe that when we support each other, we all rise together.
